The Invasion of Tree Frogs

Do you live in a wet area, near a pond, or lake? If so, you know what I mean by the title of this blog. The invasion of frogs at my house is not epic like the one in Egypt with Moses. But it is epic in the fact that these small frogs leave behind more than is desired at the end of the day. What to do?

Before I give you some solutions, let me explain my next outdoor job due to the frogs. Needed - a bucket, water, soap solution, rubber shoes, rubber gloves, and a garden hose with an adjustable nozzle. Yes, these small mostly green tree frogs have left behind what comes out of their behind. The black remains show no partiality. It can be found everywhere.

No, my porch is not screened in and I suppose that is an option, although an expensive one. I could get an outdoor cat to keep them away. Yes, frogs eat the bugs and mosquitos, but those can be found in the yard and woods that surround my backyard. I want to craft a plan to put them back in the woods where they belong, where they can flourish, and have an outdoor toilet via nature.

Evidently, this is a problem for many. Have a look at this article for several creative ways to get rid of the invasion of frogs.

These suggestions work, but let’s explore some natural plant options.

Plant lavender, lemon grass, and rosemary in your yard. It will naturally keep frogs away due to the powerful scents and textures that frogs find unpleasant. Frogs dislike the scent of lavender's essential oils and find lemongrass and rosemary's pungent smell and needle-like leaves a threat. Because these plants thrive in the sun and well-draining soil, they can be right for your yard.

Do you have a solution apart from what is listed here? Please feel free to share in the comments and pray for me as I prepare for my outside job of scrubbing my patio.
