The Earth’s Beauty
Ever since I can remember I loved the outdoors, which includes grass and gardens. The smell of fresh cut grass and the whiff of wild flowers on the side of the road brings me joy inside and out! I’ve often wondered why others don’t see what I see. God’s magnificent creation surrounds us. Whether driving down the highway or flying above His thumbprint marks all of creation.
How do we steward God’s creation without worshiping it? Somewhere along the way we got off track and on another path that led us away from God’s goodness.
I love the words in Romans 1 which say, since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse (v.20). Paul goes on to say, people exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worshipped and served the creature (or creation) rather than the Creator.
From cutting grass at the age of 12, trimming yards through college, to planting flowers for extra money while a single mom, God’s creation speaks to me. He says, look around you and see what I created for you! I created it for you to steward, enjoy, and share with others.
When God gave me the idea of a powered garden tool, it was not to worship the tool, but the One who gave the idea to me. Now, The Maxbit is sold all over the world to everyday gardeners, landscapers, and industrial users who enjoy the beauty of God’s creation while using a tool that makes it easy and fun to dig the perfect hole. What an amazing God we serve!
Remember, the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart!
